About Me

I am a trained independent celebrant based near Ledbury, Herefordshire. I conduct Wedding, Funeral, Renewal of Vows, and Naming Ceremonies across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, and beyond. If your ceremony takes me further afield, I’m more than happy to travel.

Before becoming a celebrant, I spent nearly 40 years in secondary education, working in Gloucestershire schools as an English and Drama teacher, Deputy Headteacher, and later, Headteacher. When I retired, I found that what I missed most was the personal connections—the conversations, the opportunity to support others, and the privilege of making a difference in people’s lives. My ethos as a teacher and leader was always about building strong relationships with students, colleagues, families, and the wider community.

Public speaking, listening carefully to people’s wishes, and crafting meaningful words have always been at the heart of what I do. My journey to becoming a celebrant began after I played a role in a friend’s wedding and later delivered the eulogy at another friend’s mother’s funeral. Inspired by these experiences, I trained as a celebrant in 2024.

I am, above all, a people person—empathetic, sensitive, and committed to creating ceremonies that are deeply personal. A sense of humour and a warm smile are as important as strength and compassion, whether I’m supporting a couple on their wedding day or guiding a family through the loss of a loved one. My goal is to craft a ceremony that truly reflects you and your story, ensuring it is a memorable and meaningful occasion.

Family is at the heart of my life. I have three wonderful daughters and two gorgeous grandchildren. I live with my husband, our two dogs, and my youngest daughter’s horses, embracing the joys (and muddy boots!) of rural life.

I look forward to working with you to create a ceremony that is exactly as you envisioned—one that brings joy, comfort, and lasting memories.
